An antique show promoter happened upon Lynn and her cane furniture and encouraged her to show her furniture at an Antiques Show in Phoenix. From then on Lynn was hooked on Antiques. Lynn is an avid learner and so took many classes in antiques, appraisals and related subjects. Today she is a certified appraiser.
Lynn was born and raised in Provo, Utah. She left Utah when she was 18 years old to come to California, but didn’t stay long. She has lived in Arizona, California, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, and Wyoming.
In 1987 when she returned to Carlsbad she had a Restoration store and then opened the Antique Mall next to the theater where she was for three years, when she sold the thriving enterprise to move to Oceanside. In 1998 Lynn bought the 3 stores on Mission Ave. where she is presently. She seems to have the talent to open a business, be successful and be bought out.
As a business owner in Oceanside Lynn became involved with MainStreet Oceanside because she loves the city, sees the potential, wants to be part of a thriving city and feels it is important to work towards that. Kim Heim invited Lynn to be a part of the Board in 2001 and she has remained an active, vital member, serving as Secretary, and recently as Board Chairperson. Lynn is Chair of the Antiques on Mission Street Faire. She feels that if and when she retires she will then have even more time to devote to volunteering!
